Hoosier Christmas Part 2

This was the first year we drove to Indiana--plane tickets were just too much.  Let me just say, it was quite the adventure!  I'm not sure what we were thinking, but we decided to drive straight through.  Of course we hit blinding snow in the mountains of Pennsylvania.  There were more cars and semis off the road than we could count.  Needless to say, we definitely felt everyone's prayers.  The Lord kept our wheels on the road the entire 22 hours it took us to get there!

This post is a mish-mash of pictures from our week.

Here is John enjoying some snow-in-a-cup.  I wish I had taken pictures of the outdoors; the snow stuck to the trees so beautifully!

The next few pictures were taken the day my aunt, cousin, and her husband came down to visit us all.  I didn't take a picture of the amazing meal, but I did document all of the men cleaning up--way to go!

Eli enjoyed being held so much during his first Christmas.  He was such a good traveler -always so happy!

Lydia and I had fun decorating gingerbread cookies.  These two are man and wife.

The chaos below is what we call Christmas Bingo, a tradition of old.  :)  This year was quite insane because my aunt, who was moving at the time, brought enough gifts to fill an entire table and then some!

The picture below is of my mom and her two sisters.  I love this because it perfectly captures my Aunt Sharon.  :)

Mom and dad celebrated their 30th anniversary!

We had a hymn sing, something we always used to do as kids.

All of the cousins spent many hours playing in the basement.  And what else do you do when you're in a basement without any adults?  Watch movies, knit, and draw mustaches on each other of course!
