Dumped On

Lots and lots and lots of snow.  That was our winter.  Here is the first snow.

Let's start with "the Cuteness" as Jake's aunt calls him.  He and I spent many hours inside while Jake shoveled and the boys played.

We got around 18 inches in January.  The drifts were high enough to reach the windows on our neighbor's Jeep.

That was probably the last time we saw that shovel.  It got buried in the next snow fall and wasn't found until all the snow melted.

Poor Jake had his work cut out for him shoveling snow this winter!

Jake shoveled all of the snow into huge piles on the side of our driveway and sidewalk.  The snow formed high walls that were eventually as tall as me.  The boys would ask to go outside and "climb the mountains."  Needless to say, I tried not to think about what would happen if they slipped off the wall into our driveway!

Jake made a luge in our backyard this year.  It had curves and banks.   It was way better than last year's.

When one has white snow for days on end, color is needed.  Who knew fruit could be such a highlight in winter.
