Here is a collection of pictures from our early December.
This time was memorable because Jake was swamped with finishing up his graduate degree. He took two history classes, which turned out to be quite the challenge! We feel the Lord used Andrew's early birth to give him extra time to finish his final papers! When Jake asked for an extension because of Andrew's birth, one professor told him, "Well, that's the best excuse I've had yet!"
Lots of sleepy smiles for this little one.
I tried to snap more newborn photos of Andrew at 2 weeks, but alas he was too alert. (I realize I had to correct my last post; he was only 1 week in that first set of photos.)
Above is the Jellycat puppy the boys gave him at the hospital. I need to take a current picture to show how he's grown!
This month's character of choice? Cowboy
You can see a little bit of our makeshift Christmas tree this year. It was a Norfolk Pine that I got on clearance! We generally put our tree up on Black Friday, but someone decided to make an entrance into this world. We settled for a smaller, Charlie Brown tree instead!
Jake's grandparents came for a visit to see all three great-grandchildren.
Above and below is the contrast between our Type A, Josiah and our free-spirited, Eli. Josiah would always set up our manger scene, so everyone was facing Jesus. However, Eli would come along and have them lay down because "they're sleeping," he'd say. You can imagine the battles that ensued.
Below is our attempt at a Christmas card picture. I actually got ready and did my hair (a huge feat), but by the time we all got there it was too dark and pouring rain! We took a couple blurry shots and ran!
