Memorial Day Parade

Spring had been pretty hum-drum for our family since packing became a priority.  We had been meaning to attend a parade with the boys for quite some time, so we left the boxes and tapes and walked a few blocks to the high school where the Memorial Day Parade began.

I'm pretty sure they loved the entire atmosphere: old cars, emergency vehicles, bands playing, soldiers marching, lots of waving and smiles, personal FLAGS, a few tosses of CANDY!

So of course they marched most of the way home.

Of course Josiah wanted Jake to get out his trumpet when we got home.

Of course he didn't let Josiah use it, but Andrew sure liked sucking on it!

Of course he marched all around the house and requested Jake to follow.  (Eli was napping.)

Of course Eli wanted to join in the fun as soon as he awoke.

It was a good day!
