Eli is Two

Our little Eli turned two and got BIG!  We had a mini celebration with brats, french fries, carrots, and cake.

Of course, both Eli and Josiah hated their brats.  They have some learning to do--their's nothing like a good brat with mustard and a side of sauerkraut!

Somehow two made Eli turn into a little boy.  He did a lot of talking before two, but we couldn't understand much of it.  Suddenly around his second birthday, his speaking ability shot through the roof, and we would get big ol' thoughts like this, "Mommy, I love Jesus. And I love daddy and I love mommy and I love Siah and I love puppy and..."  It was especially funny sounding because his longest sentences were so mechanical and robotic, but the grammar was wonderful for his age.  In fact, his pronoun usage (me, my, I) was practically perfect.  I guess we used less baby talk around him!  If I had to sum up Eli at 2, I would say he is compassionate towards others, determined, and sloppy! (More details to come!)
