What you don't see is what precedes a moment like this. Eli is extremely physical. He runs all day. He is rough and tough. He picks on his older brother all the time (rides him like a horse, wrestles him, or pushes him around). He is my wild boy.
It's only natural that such a busy boy needs a rest here and there. He gets these little reprieves throughout the day. He'll stop for a moment and rest on my lap; he'll lay on the floor, or he'll rock with me for what seems like forever when he wakes from his nap (I'm not complaining about this)!
One cute thing to note: Eli has a yellow, imitation Taggie blanket. It has satin tag-like pieces sewn all around the edges. So what part do you think soothes little Eli? The real tag, of course!
