Josiah is "Sthree"

Here we are the day after Eli's birthday party, celebrating a thrown together third birthday for Josiah and Father's Day for Jake (which both fell on the same day this year).

Somehow Eli ended up with three new ride-on toys, so we headed to Jake's old elementary school to ride.  First we had a picnic with leftover party food--hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob.

Then the boys rode a little.

One parenting book I read called the Cozy Coupe (red and yellow car above) the "Sin Wagon" because kids inevitably start fighting over who gets to ride it.  That name makes me laugh, but it's so true.

Finally, we stopped at Dunkin' Donuts on the way home, picked up a doughnut for Josiah, stuck a candle in it, sung happy birthday, opened presents, and sent them to bed!  So sad, I know.  The photo below, so appropriately describes the end of our weekend!  Oh, and if you only saw the other side of the camera.  We had presents and party stuff piled EVERYWHERE.  It was crazier than Christmas.

^^ Here's Josiah with one of his presents.  Eli likes to wear the mask too and give his best lion sound--a deep grunt, "UH-UH-UH" (which is still the sound of a dog, bear, and many other animals).
