Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
Here's a topic near and dear to my heart. Books!
Josiah still loves his board books, but he's able to sit through much longer stories now.
Here are the top 10 books/authors Josiah regularly pulls from our shelf, in no particular order:
1. Anything by Richard Scarey
2. Llama Llama Red Pajama
3. The Poky Little Puppy
4. If You Give a ... books
(We have If You Give a Pig a Pancake and If You Give a Moose a Muffin)
5. Curious George
6. Anything by Beatrix Potter
7. Harry the Dirty Dog
8. Miss Spider's Tea Party
9. The Rainbow Fish
10. Anything Madeline
Of these books, I took the liberty of bolding four of my favorites from his list. I'm laughing that I highlighted Richard Scarey books because they always, always make me want to take a nap after I read them!
I've made a "Wishlist" of our favorite books on Amazon right here. No, I'm not asking you to buy any of these, but I would appreciate if you'd take a look at the list. Many of the books I've read, but some are classics that I've yet to read. Others are books I've read as a child and can't quite remember if they're worthy of reading again. I'd appreciate if you left a comment telling me which of the books on our Wishlist you love / hate.
On a similar note, while Josiah loves books, and would sit with me, listening to book after book even as a baby... Eli is a different story. After a minute or two he starts fussing, and this fussing escalates too. Why? Because he wants to hold the book, chew on the book, grab the illustrations that he sees! Eli is about as tactile as they come!
