Back to My Roots

Still finishing up on posts from this summer!

...

Somehow we completed the long trek from Massachusetts to Indiana and back once more!  This time we added new, precious cargo, Eli!  He was a pretty good traveler   Even though he ate more often then Josiah, he is a faster eater, which made our stops much shorter.

We had a relaxing time in Indiana, which was just what we needed.  Jake and I went for a run most mornings.  Josiah had a great time playing with his cousin Joseph.  Eli decided to continue his growth-spurt, which meant more eating and more crankiness.  We visited my two favorite toy shops, Grace's and Toys to Treasure.  Jake, Josiah, Rebekah, and Joseph managed to catch the last day at Richard's Pool.  My mom helped me work on my quilt, and it is finally all pieced together!  Hopefully I'll finish the rest over Christmas break.  We got to celebrate Jake's twenty-seventh birthday with a Dairy Queen ice cream cake.  Jake and I actually went on a date; we finished our night off by crashing in on good friends, Ben and Michelle.  And we enjoyed a visit to Mr. Gatti's for old-time's sake!

Here's our trip in photos:
