I did let him help me put up the branches on our artificial tree and experiment with the lights a bit, which he loved. However, ornaments were off limits to touch! I've found that he does better with a certain area of discipline when we have enough foresight to never let the unwanted behavior begin in the first place. By the end of the day, the tree was not a problem, except for the fact that he wanted to talk to and kiss two oranments, a penguin and a boy on a sled. He still likes to tell the boy on the sled, "Hey man!" :)
