NewbornSleep Gowns: There is nothing worse than fumbling with snaps during the frequent diaper changing that occurs in the wee hours of the night. Solution: sleep gowns!
Changing Pad Protectors: I can't tell you how many times Josiah had projectile pee/poo in his first few weeks! Let me just say, without these little wonders, I would have been washing our changing pad everyday, twice a day.
Cold WeatherSweet Sweaters: We all know that designers put way more effort into making girl clothing out-of-this-world adorable, not to mention, so much more abundant! At least, I have the satisfaction of dressing Josiah in sweet little sweaters for the fall and winter months.
Carter's Fleece Footie Pajamas: Soft and oh so warm. Haven't found a better pair of PJs yet!
Josiah's Picks
Le Sophie: He loves chewing on his French giraffe and listening to her squeak, "Bonjour!"
Soft Blue Blanket: Our little boy just melts into dreamland when this blanket touches his skin (only slightly exaggerated).
The Bug: Lamaze makes Josiah's favorite bug. Not sure what's so special about this toy. But he never tires from looking at the bug's big eyes, grabbing the crinkley flower petals, sucking on the legs, or looking at the bright colors and designs.
Skwish: A new favorite that Josiah just LOVES. Perfect for a beginner grabber.
All around
Board Books: We already have Josiah hooked on his books! That's no surprise, considering the teacher in me was obsessed with picture books pre-Josiah. Some of our favorites are: Guess How Much I Love You; We're Going on a Bear Hunt; Pat the Bunny; Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb and Snuggle Puppy.
Baby Bjorn: This baby carrier is nice because your baby can face inward (before his head is steady) or outward. We also love it because it is super fast/easy to secure baby.
Sound Machine: We credit Josiah's good sleep habits in part to this little machine.
Sleep Sheep: We have the travel version to take with us on trips. Sweet and very useful!
Fels Naptha: A wonderful bar of soap that gets out the toughest poo stains from clothes. You can get it at Ace Hardware stores.
