I catch myself smiling a lot when I listen to these two. Just now Josiah was Batman (tiger mask and cape, of course), and Eli was a baby snail (wrapped up in a towel). Naturally, the baby snail cried a lot in ear-wrenching squeals, and Batman gave lots of bossy orders in a deep voice.
On this day, Josiah morphed into a cow for a few hours.
So this is off topic, but my bedroom has become one of my favorite places to take pictures this winter. It's normally very dark and dreary, not much sun on that side of the house, and I rarely get a good shot in my bedroom. However, huge drifts next to the neighbors house reflect the light right into my window, making the natural light beautiful.
Their pretend play isn't always exciting to watch though. Hah, sometimes it's downright tiring for me to watch because I know the mess they will make. Like the past few mornings they've been "going to Indiana", and they pack up everything next to the door for the trip: all their babies (i.e. every stuffed animal), blankets, drinks, a stack of book 2 feet high, five pillows, toys...). Or there are other times they go from being a chicken to cowboy to "Lizard Man" to Spiderman all in five minutes, and dress up clothes is strewn all over our house.
