Joyful Obedience

Josiah has had quite fun with his trains as of late.  I put them away for a while because he wasn't playing with them, but we got them back out for a special reason.  We started a sticker chart to encourage "Joyful Obedience."  The prize at the end was a new Thomas train shed (knock-off version here).  Well, he met his goal and earned his roundhouse.  We don't have room for a train table in our small apartment, so we ended up setting up the track on our table, which also meant we ended up eating in our kitchen on Josiah's little table for a while!  

I might add that we added to the fun by playing Thomas songs while he played (compliments of Grooveshark--we love making playlists for all things--we even have a clean-up playlist).

These trains mean hours of fun for this little guy.  They've been stored away again for a few weeks, but he's been asking for them once more.  I think it's time to invest in a card table, so we don't have to forgo dinner at our dining room table anymore!
