Wonderment

This word aptly describes Josiah's current stage of life. Here are some of Josiah's favorite pastimes as he continues his wide-eyed exploration of the world...

Josiah "fixing" his car.  He spent a good 15 minutes opening and closing the green compartment.
If you want to know what interests Josiah, just follow his finger.  He's always pointing!  Also, he is known to take a break from his busyness to recreate a scene from Michaelangelo's "Creation of Adam" by touching finger to finger with you.

Josiah thinks he is a manly baby.  When he is surprised or excited by something, he firmly gives a raspy "UH!" (Envision a baby version of Tim the Toolman's manly yawp.)  Or, his other favorite is an expressive "ba-BAH!!!"

He loves opening and closing doors.  As soon as he crawls into a room, he thinks he needs to shut the door.  I'll often find Josiah "missing" only to find out he has shut himself in a room and cannot open the door.

He gives a sweet, off-pitch hum when music is playing or when we sing to him.  Today we gave him a plastic Beluga Whale (courtesy of Aunt Rebekah) and everytime he held it he would hum (he associates it with Raffi's "Baby Beluga" song).

We have a toe-biter on our hands (well, a toe-nibbler really).  Yes, he will often surprise us with a little nibble on the big toe.

He still does his army crawl everywhere, and now he can pull-up on things with ease.  This army crawl thing is getting old (too hard on the shirts!).

P.S.  The Santos household has been experiencing technical difficulties on both computers, which would explain why I am long overdue for an update.  My posting still may be rather scant until we resolve these computer issues.
